IT Help Desk Support Specialist

The Help Desk Support Specialist is a self-directed, troubleshooting, and issue resolution role. You will work with a team of IT professionals dedicated to serving the needs of our firm. The Help Desk Support Specialist will provide general upkeep and maintenance of our industry specific systems and equipment and serve as the primary contact for desktop and help desk services. The Help Desk Support Specialist will report directly to the IT Manager.
Some Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide end user support for computer systems (software, hardware) and equipment (printers, phones, mobile devices, etc.)
  • Set up and configure laptops and workstations
  • Install software and hardware; repair hardware and peripherals
  • Test programs, updates, and customizations
  • Maintain systems, administer user accounts
  • Provide basic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for computer equipment (workstations, printers, and miscellaneous equipment)
  • Arrange for distribution of equipment for end users

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or related field
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Proficient in troubleshooting LAN, WAN and VDI issues
  • Proficient in troubleshooting servers, desktops, laptops, tablets and printers
  • Excellent communication skills – able to explain technology to end users
  • Ability to work independently and to multi-task
  • Microsoft certification is highly preferred
